Various Artists - ADE 2015 Showcase Album [Pro-B-Tech Records] Zone Top Tune - 10/10
This was a gem to arrive in my promo box this month with 12 cracking tracks to choose from. Kicking off with Richard Empire with “Droplet” this track really got me into the groove from the outset. The next couple of tracks by Pad One, and Nila respectively carried on from where the first track was going. Moving on we had “Organism” by In Progress, which was another refreshing track with some lovely percussion running all the way through the track. Luis Le Finks offering on this was “Nerdin” which was a different sound than we normally expect on Pro-B but was worth the wait. One of the stand out tracks on this album was GabiM Feat. Eli Luv - “Like We”, I loved the vocal on this track, as well as the full journey this track took me on. The tracks from Feed On Digital, and Matt Black were also stand out tracks on this album. And a good piece of work from Tini Tun with “A Stream Of Light In A World Of Darkness”. A track that was completely different from all others on this album was “Stella” from Sam Ritter, well what can I say it was like someone decided to add some alcohol to the album but in a good way. Just when you thought this album was finished two remixes of Blue Amazon’s track “Then The Rain Falls” comes in from Hernan Serrao and Real Gone Kid, and wow both these tracks were awesome. These two tracks alone are worth buying the album for, and worth every penny. Of course I am going to recommend that you keep an eye out and pick up this album, in fact check out other artists and releases on this label. I predict that this label is going to take off like a NASA rocket over the next 12 months.

Paul Sawyer - Arp Attack [Layer 909] Zone Recommended Tune - 9/10
Let’s be honest we knew that anything on Layer 909 would be great, as we would anything that the maestro Paul Sawyer puts out. Arp Attack was awesome if I say so myself. So I am listening to the original mix and really digging the synth and percussion on it, thinking this can’t get any better. Then the vox kicks in and I am like really if James Bond had techno this would be it, this is secret service techno! Then out of the darkness comes the remix from Phutek, and come on anything that Phutek touches at the moment is gold dust. This remix was nothing short of superb! The break has you waiting as it builds up then takes you out on a rollercoaster ride of magical proportions. Between the deep bass and tribal drums thought this release, this track is a winner. Do yourself a favour get yourself over to Beatport and pick up this bad boy.

Ian Dillon - Fear And Loathing [Mystic Carousel Records] Zone Rating - 9/10
Ian Dillon is one of the hottest producers on the market at the moment in my opinion, and I would expect you will be hearing a lot from this guy over the coming months indeed. This guy has already had tracks catching the attention of the like of Blue Amazon, and Hernan Cattaneo. This guys stuff is top dollar and “Fear And Loathing” is no exception. The original track kicks right into the typical Ian Dillon sound. The track for me on this release for me because of the tech element of course is the Blue Amazon Remix. He turns this progressive track into a tech- house monster (of course why I have reviewed it for Zone Magazine). You just know that anything that Blue Amazon produces is going to be of the greatest quality, I really loved the main break before taking you back on the tech show that we have grown to expect from him. Of course this releases was rounded off with another of top quality remixes from Lucas Tesselhoff, and Pavlin Petrov. So if you like your proper progressive sound check this release out, and if you don’t of course tech-house lovers must buy check this out for the tech-house offering on this release.

DaGeneral & Nico Kohler - The Error Within EP [Twisted Recordings] Zone Rating - 8/10
DaGeneral & Nico Kohler from General Surgery Records both team up to do a collaboration for UK based techno label Twisted Recordings, who are part of the Krafted Music Group. With two driving techno tracks as you have probably would have expected with these two getting together on this project. Both tracks on this EP are full on techno tracks with nice use of synths and bass throughout, and of course the use of some proper techno percussions to keep the tracks travelling along. Of course being my work is hard to give a full review, but you could say that this track in my opinion was worth adding to my reviews this month, and it was a pleasure working on this EP with Nico Kohler, who is slowly gaining a nice reputation for himself in the techno industry. Back to the EP don’t take my word for it, give it a listen and make your own opinion.
