Trance as a genre has certainly seen many changes over the years and a testament to its enduring appeal is the fact that once you get into the sound, it is with you forever!
Thankfully for many, the nice people at Ministry Of Sound cottoned on to this fact a long time ago and have faithfully documented many of its twists and turns with their highly successful and evidently enduring ‘Trance Nation’ series of double CD’s and now downloadable album releases.
For this their latest release, they have enlisted the services of superstar Trance DJ/ Producer Markus Schulz who has pioneered the sound and played it to audiences all over the world, many times over. And as every good Trance DJ knows, it is all about taking the listener on a musical journey with your choice of tunes and Markus has certainly captured that ethos with this release.
The first disc (download) starts in almost ambient territory and builds slowly as the tune selection intensifies and enlivens you into a real euphoric state of mind, just like a well put together Trance set should do. The second disc (download) starts off again on a rather relaxed way and this time intensifies a lot quicker into pure euphoria and hands in the air territory within a few tracks. I could list those tracks that stand
out for me but to be honest, that would take away some of the pleasure of just hearing the all important tune selection and progression which make this album sound so special.
There are even 15 exclusives included on these delicately woven soundscapes that just beg to be turned up and danced to at all cost and for that reason, it leaves me with no doubts that this release is is a must buy item for all Trance lovers and indeed for anyone that wants to know what the love of beautiful uplifting inspirational Trance Music is all about!
