C. SUMMARY

1. Greetings are expressions that are almost always used by people when meeting
someone, both people they know and people they do not know.
2. Greetings are divided into two, namely formal and informal greetings. Formal
greetings are used in formal situations and are addressed to people who do not
have a close relationship, while Informal greetings are used in informal situations
and are usually addressed to people who have a close relationship.
3. Leave-taking, in simple terms, this "leaving" or "taking" refers to an act of saying
goodbye or farewell.
4. Leave-taking is divided into two, namely formal and informal leave-taking. Just
like greetings, formal leave-taking is used in formal situations and informal leave-
taking is used in informal situations.
