e) Yard & Misc. Accidents during the year 2019-20 : One
On 23.3.2020 at about 14.47 hrs. at BABR yard, While moving HBT Empty rake from

Siding to Ist Loop line, from engine,l9 wagon (No.SC 70090360650 BOBYNE) rear
th
trolley (JCL end) and 10 wagon (No.SC 70090260493 BOBYNE) fronttrolley (SHNR
end) derailed. (Cause : Partial unloading of ballast).
Staff responsible:
RVNL staff. : (Sri V. Lalkumar, Expert/PMC who has supervised theunloading has been
moved out from the project& the staff of RVNL, PMC and Executing have been
counselled on precautions to be taken for BT unloading.
f) SPAD during the year 2019-20 - Nil
7. GATE OPEN CASES:
Gate open cases have been reduced to Zero compared to previous year with constant
counseling of gatemen and station masters.

The following measures taken to prevent the gate open cases:
1. Video films showing consequences of Gate open condition, to educate gate man
circulated to all Gatemen and also uploaded in the “You Tube”.

3. Auto PN Generating Machines planned to provide for 58 LC gates.
4 Whats app group for all Gatemen to create awareness in Gate working.
5.SMS alerts to gatemen and public regarding precautions at LC Gates.
