6. Replacement of VRLA batteries with LMLA batteries:
Replacing the existing LMLA Batteries after completing Coadal life (4 years) with VRLA
Batteries due to LMLA needs more maintenance(checking of electrolyte, adding of
electrolyte,water regularly)
7. Modification of Gear case and suspension bearing Oil Sump Caps:
Wing nut type filling Caps have been provided for Gear Case, it is found wing nuts are
being worked out on run and causing spillage.
Spring loaded filling Caps have been provided for Suspension Bearing oil sumps, it is found
the caps are being worked out on run and causing spillage.
To avoid this Threaded type Caps have been provided in EMU & MEMU Conventional MCs
for Gear Case & Suspension Bearing oil sump.
