A Note from the Artistic Director

Greetings!
Welcome to Summer Solos 2024! We are so happy to spend some lazy summer
evenings with you, listening to great stories told by our gifted actors. And a big
thanks to the Visual Arts Center of NJ for allowing us to camp on their lawn!
We had last-minute changes to our schedule, so I reached into my own files to pull
out a collection of short romantic comedies for our first slot, Summer Shorts. The
playwright was incredibly easy to work with on short notice. And Jenny Lyn Bader’s
Equally Divine is a play I’ve been eyeing for several years, and we’re happy to
include it!
And both What I Thought I Knew and I F***ing Hate Shakespeare are relatively
new plays that I came across on the National New Play Network, a great source of
material from playwrights around the world.
We hope you enjoy these stories, and wish you the very loveliest of summers!
