A Note from the Artistic Director
Greetings!
Welcome to our first mainstage show of the season, a world premiere production of
Portrait of the Widow Kinski. We are so excited to be bringing you in-person theatre,
and grateful that you’re here. This month we’re also thrilled to bring you a reading
of Our Town, with passages translated into Spanish and Creole.
We’ve chosen these projects carefully to explore themes like artistry and
community, which are very much on all of our minds right now. And, as always, we
delight in sharing the prodigious talents of local professionals with you! When you
think of our community, both inside the theatre walls and outside, it includes our
shared experiences, no matter what side of the “footlights” we occupy. And being
here together is one part of the larger body we share.
Please join us throughout the season, as we bring you new and re-imagined
experiences under our new name, Vivid Stage. Thanks for your faith and your
company!
All the best,
Laura Ekstrand
