The Procedure:
The easiest mnemonic is “righty tighty, lefty loosey.”
Ensure the vehicle is parked on
legal ground with the vehicle
9 1 handbrake applied and the
engine turned off. You must wear
4 your PPE.

Go to Lincs Commercials and
collect the correct torque wrench
from a member of the garage
6 staff. (Remember there are two
5 types of torque wrench)
Check the torque wrench

3 calibration date.
Set the torque wrench to the
2 10 stipulated value of Nm’s.

Tipper Operations
Tighten the wheel bolts one
Right to Tighten after the other in a crisscross
pattern. Review Dates:
(V2) – 06-01-2025 / Next R/D 05-01-2026
