Mid UK Recycling Driver Risk Assessment & Safe System of Work
Use the on-board weigher to gauge when you are fully loaded,
you will need to raise the tipper body approximately 1
foot for this to work.
If in doubt of weight when loaded use the weighbridge to check.
Before unloading:
When you arrive at a site to tip you MUST ensure that the HGV unit and trailer is
parked on a hard standing and even surface and that they are in line and not with the
cab turned.
Never tip the load with the sheet on as this will cause a vacuum
during tipping and damage the sheet pole and sheet.
Before tipping can begin the airbags need to be lowered to give
the trailer more stability.
RASSoW 11Q
This is done by pushing the dump button located halfway down
Tipper Operations
on the near side of the trailer chassis.
The airbags will empty automatically
