Mid UK Recycling Driver Risk Assessment & Safe System of Work

UN-Loading the Trailer:

Under no circumstances is the driver or any other person to

enter the trailer whilst the floor is in motion

Once the trailer has been (Tipped) Unloaded:

The driver is to driver forward slightly, just to clear to edge of the tipped load.

Disengage the PTO and turn off the engine. Exit the vehicle.

Isolate the walking floor at the power control box. (Image 1)

Sweeping out the Trailer: (Image 1)

The driver is to then use the trailer ladder to climb into

the trailer, push up the internal door, and sweep out any

remaining product from the floor and any hanging materials

from the upper rail bars. (Image2) Close the trailer doors and

engage the door safety catches, and then Close and secure the RASSoW 15Q

trailer (sheet) canopy. (Image 2) Walking Floor Operations

Vigilance is required by the driver whilst the driver is out of the cab monitoring for
