Mid UK Recycling Driver Risk Assessment & Safe System of Work

Danger Zone Risk Assessment (DZRA) includes checks on the following:

The driver must complete a danger zone assessment when they arrive on site.

This must be conducted prior to tipping the vehicle.
The Danger Zone
Whilst Tipping

Identify “sufficient headroom clearance”!

2. Identify any overhead wires and cables

3. Identify all slippery Surfaces
4. Identify any manhole covers and greats

5. Identify holes, Potholes, and obstructions

6. Identify Weak and decaying ground surfaces

7. Identify all safe secure and solid platform to stop the vehicle from tipping

This is not an exhaustive list and common sense must prevail over the above. Tipper Operations
If the driver notices a risk within the tipping danger zone, then the risk must be removed prior to proceeding.
