Mid UK Recycling Driver Risk Assessment & Safe System of Work

Use of the vehicle Torque Wrench:

When the Torque wrench is to be used the driver must park

on an even surface away from moving traffic, apply

handbrake and remove keys.

The area where the process is to be completed must be kept

clear of debris which could result in slips, trips & falls.

When using the Torque wrench ensure all components are

in good working order and connected correctly including

socket size. (Image 1)

Short extension to the front wheels.

Long extension to the rear wheels. HSF18

Always set (or Check) the Torque setting to the correct Newton Metre (Nm)
