Mid UK Recycling Driver Risk Assessment & Safe System of Work
NOTES
The driver must take caution when stacking skips from the vehicle.
1. If skips do get stuck together whilst picking up a skip do not use any implement
that is not issued by the company such as bars, hammers, or poles to separate the
skips apart.
2. Drivers are to contact the office if they have skips that are wedged together.
3. When stacking skips the driver must bear in mind about the driver who may collect
that skip. Never stack a skip in any other manner than the way you would expect to
find a skip.
4. Drivers are to report all badly stacked skips to the transport office.
5. Any damaged skips identified by drivers must be phoned through to the office
ASAP.
