Mid UK Recycling Driver Risk Assessment & Safe System of Work
Overloaded Skips:
If the driver identifies that the contents of the skip have been overloaded or are unsafe (in his/her
opinion) then the driver is to take a photograph with the tablet and send this image to their
line manager and seek advice prior to collection.
DO NOT TAKE OVERLOADED SKIPS ONTO THE PUBLIC HIGHWAY.
The driver IS NOT to confront the customer about the overloaded skip.
“This will be addressed by your line manager”.
