Fraser Lifeboat (1A-04)

The Fraser Lifeboat is a Tyne Class Beam: 4.4m (14.43’)
Lifeboat. Originally named the Famous
Grouse, she was built for the Royal Draught: 1.45m (4.76’)
National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) in 1987 Construction: Corten Steel Hull,
and was well known for her years of service Aluminium Superstructure
from 2000 - 2010 out of Kilmore Quay in Engines: 2 x Detroit Diesel
Ireland. During this period the Famous 6V92, ea 425 hp
Grouse rescued over 300 people, operating Performance: 18 kn max, 11 kn
from a lifeboat station that has had many cruise
challenging rescues in its history. Range: 240 nm
Following service in Kilmore Quay, she was Complement: 6 crew
based out of the RNLI Headquarters in Tender: 2.5m(8.2') unpowered,
Poole, England, serving the fleet as a relief inflatable boat (X-Class)
lifeboat. The lifeboat was purchased by the First Aid: AED, oxygen and
CLI from the RNLI in May 2013 and has comprehensive first aid kit
since then been active with the CLI. Fire fighting: Portable pump for
fire fighting and de-watering
