               Almost  three  months  after  the  beginning  of  the  2020
               lockdown, an English teacher comes back to high school on
               the reopening day to give one of his last sessions of the year
               to his students.



               This morning of June 2020, the boulevard was empty
               of people. The cafes and fast food restaurants were
               closed and there was no traffic at all. Not a soul, not
               a sound, not a single sign of life whatsoever. The high
               school  clock  indicated  10:50  AM  when  the  teacher
               crossed the boulevard, headed to the front gate and
               rang the buzzer. Once. Twice. The large wooden gate
               remained closed. He waited for a while and rang a
               third  time.  Nothing  happened.  The  teacher  turned
               back to give a phone call when the gate opened in a
               wild roar and he got sucked inside like a leaf swept
               away by the wind. He fell on the hall’s cold tiles and
               the gate closed just as fast. He quickly got back on his
               feet and noticed the reception desk was empty, but
               what struck him most was the obscurity of the place.
               He  pushed  the  courtyard  gate  and  discovered  the
