“Here are the rules. Take a moment to concentrate,
but do not turn the exam paper until I say so. After I
trigger that timer, you will be allowed to start the
test. If you pass, you’ll have a chance to learn
everything on how to get them back. But if you fail…
you’ll never see them again. You have three
minutes.”
A disgusted expression appeared on the teacher’s
face as he gave a despising look to the stranger.
“How dare you use my own rules against me,
stranger?”
“Take the exam, or never find them.”
“And why would I trust you? How can I be assured
you will stick to your word?”
“You can’t. But you don’t really have a choice, do
you? Go!”
As soon as the stranger triggered the timer, the
teacher hastened to grab his pencil case, opened it,
took a pen and turned the exam sheet. He could see
a whole page with a great amount of numbers
written down on it. He frowned and exhaled as if the
weight of the world had suddenly fallen on his
shoulders.
