The teacher got back to the desk running, sat down
               and tried one last time. He brainstormed on all the
               topics  he  had  worked  on  with  his  students  all
               through  the  year  and  came  to  the  conclusion  that
               there was no way all of this could help him do this
               test.

               Inevitably,  the  stopwatch  rang  and  the  stranger’s
               voice was drowned out by the collapse. “Time’s up
               teacher. Stand up!”

               “NO!”

               The teacher raised his eyes from the exam paper and
               realized the stranger wasn’t there anymore; he had
               vanished,  as  if  by  magic,  as  if  he  had  been  an
               hallucination  all  along.  Yes,  exactly  this,  a  pure
               illusion   living    only   through     the    teacher’s
               imagination,  just  like  the  creatures  could  have
               perfectly been the headmaster’s hallucinations. The
               teacher  stood  up,  rushed  to  the  door  but  couldn’t
               open  it  in  time  to  escape  and  the  whole  place
               collapsed.

               In the corridor, his students had been waiting for a
               while when the door finally opened. They were all
               here, on this September back to school day, beautiful
