DANGEROUS GOAL
Juliet, Peter and their uncle Dan lived in a small
cottage in a wood near Wistman’s Wood. Peter was a
reserved little boy, passionate about reading.
Juliet, his sister, was a lonely child, fascinated by
nature. She spent her days climbing trees and
running behind butterflies.
At the age of 14, Juliet had set himself a new goal: to
explore the forest at nightfall.
Juliet, very much an accomplice and close to his
brother, had informed him of this new objective.
However, his Uncle Dan was not aware of it.
On this summer evening, Juliet was lucky, her uncle
fell asleep quickly on the sofa. She tiptoed down the
stairs without a sound, then headed for her little
brother's room.
She opened the door delicately, a little creak
sounded, her uncle changed position. For a moment
Juliet stopped breathing. She entered and went to
rest delicately near her brother who also dozed.
