Tuition Reimbursement Program
Policy
US Based Employees Only
Owner: Human Resources – Benefits
Last Updated: May, 2021
The Kontoor Brands Tuition Reimbursement Program was established to provide financial
assistance to eligible employees who enroll in and satisfactorily complete approved educational
courses. The Program provides reimbursement for educational courses that are either specifically
related to an employee’s current role or other areas within Kontoor Brands where the employee
may be reasonably transferred or promoted.
This policy applies to all eligible employees. An eligible employee is a full time (30+ hours weekly)
employee with at least one (1) year of service as of the completion date of the course, has
satisfactory job performance and no active disciplinary record through the completion of each
course.
Employees must provide the Wage Deduction Authorization form (Promissory Note for employees
who reside in California or District of Columbia) to Human Resources prior to starting courses. The
authorization allows Kontoor Brands to recover amounts paid to the employee if: 1) employee
voluntarily terminates employment or, 2) if the employee is terminated for cause from the
Company within three (3) years following reimbursement of the course. Repayment is based on a
prorated schedule that is described later in the policy.
Application Process
• Prior to registering for each course, Employee must submit a completed Tuition
Reimbursement Application Form with supervisor’s approval, a copy of the course
description and the cost of tuition/books/fees. A new form is required for each course.
• The completed application should be sent to Human Resources for review.
• A copy of the completed application will be returned to the employee within 30 days with
an approval or denial for the course.
• Employee must show that he or she will benefit from the proposed course.
• The employee must schedule the course at times that do not conflict or interfere with the
ability to perform their current job responsibilities. All course work must be completed
