        1.4. Farmers access to output market
        SAA assists farmers in gaining access to market-oriented production skills, market intelligence,
        and market connections. Regular business-to-business meetings and market linkage workshops
        are held to bring together various value chain actors, seal sales agreements, and stay connected.

        1.5. Farmers access to financial services
        SAA connects farmers and agribusinesses to appropriate financial institutions while also encour-
        aging them to organize and save for themselves. Accordingly, the community savings for agri-
        business (CSIA) model is used to meet the financial needs of poor farmers by organizing savings

        and loan groups of up to 50 members.


        1.6. Agri-business development and jobs creation

        SAA fosters entrepreneurship as a major avenue for creating jobs in both on-and off-farm in-

        come-generating activities, particularly for women and youth. To gain access to technology,

        inputs, markets, and finance, women and youth are grouped, trained, and linked to upstream and
        downstream value chains.
