General course information
This Loading Shovel training course provides delegates of all experience levels with the relevant skills and knowledge required to operate the wheeled load safely and effectively. Training is delivered across a wide range of industry sectors and can be tailored for our client’s requirements.
Course content
n Course Introduction
n Operators safety code and safe practices
n Hydraulic systems and controls
n Overload warning devices
n Loading procedures and techniques
n Configure and set for travel
n Manoeuvring on various surfaces and ground terrain
n Extract materials from stock piles
n Sort and place materials into transporting vehicles and hoppers
Experience required
No prior knowledge of topic required
Course Duration Number of Delegates
1-5 days dependent on previous experience 1 - 3
Facilities / requirements
A training room suitable for the number of delegates will be required. Access to the machine and work practices. Delegates will also require relevant PPE as per sites requirements.
Availability Certification
On-site ITSSAR and In-house available
Certification renewal
Recommended every 3 years however this may depend on the company’s risk assessments and internal policies.
