We use as + adjective + as to make comparisons when the
persons or things we are comparing are similar or equal in
some ways.
That man is as funny as my brother.
Your house is as big as mine. (mine = my house)
* Note: We use not as + adjective + as to make
comparisons between persons or things which are not
