Major Stock Show Validation

State Fair of Texas - Market and Breeding Swine Validation Orders Due, Friday, May 14th by Noon
Market and Breeding Swine Validation Tag Orders for the State Fair of Texas are due, along with payment to the Extension Office by
Noon Friday, May 14.

Please read the information below very carefully…

General Validation information for Major Stock Show Steers and Heifers and State Fair of Texas Market and Breeding Sheep and Goats
Official Validation dates will be announced by May 10th.
If you are unable to attend one of the official validation dates announced, you must contact me by June 1st and you will more
than likely be asked to haul your animal to a designated location.
The validation committee will be happy to travel to ag chapter barns if 20 or more animals can be secured. Scheduling is
determined on the availability of the validation committee members. Contact me by May 10th to get on the schedule.

2021-2022 – Major Stock Show Steer Validation Orders ($34/tag Late) – This is the ONLY validation period for Major stock show
steers. If you are planning on exhibiting steers at any 2021-2022 Major stock shows place your tag order now. If the April early order
deadline is missed you will be able to order late tags, however the price/tag drastically increases.

2021- Fall Major Heifer Validation ($17/validation) – If you plan on exhibiting your heifers at a Fall Major stock show. Once validated,
a heifer remains eligible unless breed or ownership is changed. Original registration papers must be in the exhibitor’s name by June
30, 2021 for Fall Major stock shows.

***Note*** if any changes are made on the heifer papers after heifer validation we must contact the state and notify them of those
changes. If the papers do not exactly match the papers uploaded in the system you could risk disqualification if the state is not
notified.
Ag Science Teachers and County Extension Agents are responsible for uploading the color copy of the heifer registration papers
and entering the validation information to https://www.texaslivestockvalidation.com/ by July 8. You may begin uploading papers
May 15th.
A validation will be offered in October for 2022 Spring Major Stock Shows.
