Dunkermotoren integrates certified PROFINET

with PROFIdrive in new servo motor design
Since the end of February 2021,
Dunkermotoren's fully integrated PROFINET
solution has been officially certified by the
PROFIBUS user organisation. This means
another important feature is fully integrated into
the motor, which is a milestone in terms of
cabling, commissioning and IIoT capability.
Dunkermotoren says it is the first drive
technology manufacturer to fully integrate its
certified PROFINET solution with PROFIdrive
into a motor.
The certification assures Dunkermotoren that
the high standards of stability, even under extreme bus conditions, are always maintained.
Currently the products BG 95 dPro, BG 75 dPro, BG 66 dPro and the BGE 5510 dPro are
available with PROFINET interface, covering the output power from 1 to 4000 W.

Reliance enhances its gear shaping capabilities
with state-of-the-art CNC electronic shaping

Reliance has used hobbing and shaping
techniques for creating teeth on gears since
WHAT’S NEW... requirements becoming more complex and
the business was founded over a hundred
years ago. During this time, it has seen
technologies advance and machinery change,
and more recently, customer specification
challenging. With two legacy machines due to
be retired from the business over the coming years, Reliance began a procurement project to
source the latest generation shaping technology.
The result is the acquisition of an LS 400 EM gear shaping machine from Liebherr. The
LS 400 EM enables Reliance the opportunity to machine a wide range of gears. With a
maximum stroke length of 70 mm, it can machine workpieces up to a diameter of 400 mm
and module of 5 mm. It will not only increase Reliance’s accuracy capabilities but being
faster than the existing machines, production times will be reduced.
