Transmit data and power up to 100 metres

with the new One Cable Solution from Stober
Motion control equipment manufacturer Stober has further
developed its One Cable Solution (OCS) so that users can now
connect motors and drive controllers at distances of up to 100m.
Designed in collaboration with encoder expert Heidenhain, this
new single cable connection means that machine builders no
longer need to use two cables to power the motor and transmit
encoder data. It can all be done with this one new hybrid cable
             from Stober.
Countless lab tests over continuous operation have
revealed that the quality of the data transmission
enabled all signals to be read and evaluated
flawlessly without errors in the encoder
communication, even after five million cycles. The
new OCS also eliminates data transmission weakness and
removes the need to use an output choke up to 50m.

Higher capacity split roller bearing from
Bowman is set to transform industry

             Global bearings innovator, Bowman
International, has launched to market a split
WHAT’S NEW... offers up to 75% higher radial load capacity
roller bearing with substantially higher radial
and axial load capacities. Ideal for higher load
applications across all heavy-side sectors, the
new Bowman Advanced Split Roller Bearing
and up to a 1000% increase in axial load
             capacity in both directions.
Ian Breeze, technical director for Bowman,
comments on the significance of this innovation: “For the first time, plant builders and
maintenance engineers can specify a split roller bearing that does not rely on race lips alone
to accommodate axial force in high-load applications. The new Bowman Advanced Split
Roller Bearing comprises two independent 3D-printed axial bearings designed to
accommodate greater loads, improving system performance with less maintenance.”
