“What’s Eating You 2?” Mothmageddon
      CHAPTER 11
Moth-Proof Your Kitchen
It’s not always easy to keep food moths out of your house since they can arrive hidden in the packaged food you buy from a shop or the supermarket. But you can stop them staying and breeding in your pantry or food cupboards.
If you find small moths crawling or flying around your kitchen, look for their food source and remove it immediately.
If you locate the infestation before it spreads to other packages, it may be quite easy to control things. Often, the source is a food package that was damaged in the shop or supermarket or a packet of food that you opened and then forgot about like a bag of flour from 2015!
The best thing then is to seal up the packaged food and dispose of it immediately – throw it in an outside rubbish bin, not in your kitchen bin.
Once inside your pantry or food cupboards, most moths feed on spilt food in the crevices or in opened packets of food.
Tips for Moth-Free Food
The following tips will help you to stop any food moths taking hold in your pantry or food cupboards...
• Use Anti Food Moth Traps. These Moth Traps are safe to use and efficient against Food, Flour and Indian Meal Moths. They don’t contain insecticide or odour so you can use them with complete peace of mind.
