Stevia and Monk fruit are natural sweeteners that do not raise blood
sugars. In fact, both have a score of zero on the Glycemic Index so if
you must have a sweetener, this is the way to go.
To demonstrate how habits are so challenging to overcome, I want to
share an experience that I will never forget. Several years ago, a
patient came to us for treatment. He had already been beaten and
bruised with surgery and chemo/radiation. His immune system was
running at about 25%. This poor man was like a walking corpse. He was
battling esophageal cancer and already had a tracheostomy, so he was
