these communication pathways created by such elements can be
turned on or off and possibly solve one of cancer’s most elusive means
of growing. There are some biofeedback devices currently in use that
are very successful in correcting the signaling issues with cancer cells.
One such Biofeedback company called Bicom UK is partially owned by
David Franklin, a Brother in the UK. Some of his equipment is very
powerful against cancer (www.bioresonance.com).
There are four basic categories of chemical signaling found in
multicellular organisms: Paracrine signaling, Autocrine signaling,
Endocrine signaling, and signaling by Direct contact. Let’s briefly
define them so we understand how they work:
▪ Paracrine signaling is a form of cell signaling, or cell-to-cell
communication, in which a cell produces a signal to induce
changes in nearby cells, altering the behavior of those cells.
▪ Autocrine signaling is a form of cell signaling in which a cell
secretes a hormone or chemical messenger that binds to
autocrine receptors on that same cell, leading to changes in the
cell.
▪ Endocrine signaling (as discussed in Chapter Two of this book)
occurs when endocrine cells release hormones that act on distant
target cells in the body. This process plays heavily on cancer due
to endocrine disruptors.
▪ Direct Contact is one form of local signaling for cells that possess
junctions that connect the cytoplasm of cells adjacent to one
another. These cells contain gap junctions and can communicate
through these junctions. Exosomes are instrumental in this form
of cell communication, moving information from cell to cell.
