As we have learned, all cells live and thrive on a “signaling network” in
your body. In a healthy
environment, cells
communicate and network
through neurotransmitters
and other pathways, such
as the endocrine system.
There are two necessary
mechanisms for this to
work in the body; a
sending signal and a receiving signal.
With cancer cells, they can no longer send or receive a signal due to
damaged signaling. Their “radio” stops working and the body does not
see the cancer. When your cells stop responding to these signals, it’s as
if they have been kidnapped and the biological control of cell functions
is interrupted. As a result, defective cells no longer turn off and die
naturally (apoptosis). Instead, through gene amplification and an over
expression of growth factor receptors, they have uncontrolled cell
division, take over healthy cells and proliferate, and become isolated
and independent of your immune system. Before long, a tumor starts
to grow. This is the very definition of cancer.
This is only part of the problem because when your T-cells and NK-cells
finally find the cancer, if you have a suppressed immune system (fire
truck out of gas), these immune cells make little effect against the
cancer. The damage is already done and there won’t be much left to
salvage.
