Take, for example, the many foundations that donate generously to
find a cure for cancer. Let’s look at what is really going on.
Breast cancer awareness agencies like Susan G Komen have
contributed hundreds of millions of dollars towards breast cancer
awareness. We are not any
closer to finding the cure than
we were in 1960 so it simply
doesn’t add up; someone is not
being honest! For
transparency, according to
“Charity Watch,” a watchdog agency for some of the largest non-profit
philanthropic companies, had this to say regarding the largest breast
cancer awareness foundation in the world, the Susan G Komen
foundation, for just one year of revenue: “SGK foundation earned $373
million this 2018 fiscal year, shockingly with only 15% actually going to
cancer research.” So, where did the remaining 85% go? “When you
look at the financial statements, 43% supposedly went to education,
18% on fundraising, 12% on screening, the remaining 12% to operations
and salaries. So realistically, out of $373,000,000, only $55,950,000
went to actual cancer research and treatment and the remaining
$317,050,000 evaporated into so-called operations.”
That sure makes you want to think twice about participating in a “Pink
Ribbon” Race for the Cure event! Awareness is raised, but the real
solution in actual research and treatment is only 15% of the total
revenue. So, 85% awareness (salaries, events, education, fluff) and only
15% in research. How pathetic! Do you see the problem?
