COBH PIRATES ROUND-UP
Munster Rugby have awarded COBH PIRATES RFC Youth Section of the Year
for 2019.
The award was chosen by the Munster Rugby Development department in conjunc-
tion with the Munster Rugby Committee.
Receiving such as award is testament to the dedication of the coaches and players
at the youth section. Massive congratulations to all involved. Critieria considered for
the award:
* Player & game development
* Section structures and rugby philosophy
* Coach education compliance
* Player registration compliance
* Child/Player welfare compliance
* Referee development

Hard luck to the u16 Development Plate team who put in a tremendous effort
and committed display right to the end, only to lose out on a score in the dying min-
utes of this evening’s final against Fermoy. The final score was 29-22.

The full u16 squad regroup on Saturday to contest the South Munster U16 League
Final against Midleton at the PBC grounds in Wilton at 1.30pm KO.
All support greatly appreciated. Again well played and hard luck to the development
squad this evening.

Well done to the u14 team who progress to South Munster Development Plate
Final after they edged out Ballincollig this evening away in Tanner Park on a 15-14
scoreline.

Well done to the u16s who beat Sunday’s Well in the South Munster Cup semi-
final on a 26-12 scoreline. They now progress to the final against Midleton RFC, to
be played over the May Bank Holiday weekend, with date and KO to be confirmed.
Well done again lads, great run to the end of the season.

RUSHBROOKE TENNIS CLUB
What an end to a fantasic tournament with glorious weather and fantastic tennis.
Another very successful event in RLTCC and testament to what can be achieved
when a collective club effort comes together.

Well done to tennis captain Sally Donegan and the office team Louise
Davidson,Louise O Rourke,Laragh O Brien,Roisin Mc Carthy,Ronan Walsh,Liz Moore,
Mary Ellis,Adrian Mc Carthy and Eddie Ronayne. Thank you also to Una O Callaghan
and the Kitchen team Jo, Emer and Debbie along with all the club members who
gave of their time to help out in the kitchen. Thank you to all club members who
again came up trumps and kept a constant supply of delights flowing to the kitchen
over the five days.Well done to our bar staff on duty during the tournament.
Special thanks to Kevin O Donovan tournament referee with assistance from Dan O
Regan.
Thank you to Colm and Emma Mc Donagh for the tournament pictures each day.
Finally thank you to all the players for again supporting our tournament in huge
numbers and best of all we get to do it all again in 12 months!!!!!!
