Wanderers Juniors & Seniors secure Cup Final places on same day
Another milestone day in the club’s history as our senior and junior teams reach the Keane
Cup and junior League Cup finals.A single Nathan Manson-Browne strike on the half hour
along with a serious rearguard performance throughout the second half were enough to see off
Rockmount in the Keane cup semi at Old Church Park last week.
They will now play Avondale United in Turners Cross on November 16th with the chance to
retain the cup won in emphatic fashion against Castleview last season. Meanwhile the juniors
have reached a first ever cup final as a M.S.L. outfit with a superb 4-1 win away at local rivals
    Passage.
An early Pierce Donnachie strike was quickly cancelled out by the home side but a second half
three goal blitz, two from Jamie Gilmartin and one from Tony O’ Donovan, ensured a place in
the final again in Turners Cross two days after the senior cup final.
The possibility of a Wanderers-Avondale double that weekend depends on the outcome of the
remaining semi tomorrow between Tramore Atl. and Avondale. Very well done to all players
and management for making this another day to be a proud Wanderer
