Cork Penny Dinners Appeal
Cork Penny Dinners would be delighted to receive non-perishable food, clean cloth-
ing in excellent condition, hats, gloves, socks, underwear, sleeping bags and, in
    particular this year, children’s jackets.

2,000 people are fed at their premises in Little Hanover Street every week and all
their services are free. For convenience, any of the above items can be handed
into Cobh Motormart -Harringtons Garage, Glenanaar Place, and they will be deliv-
ered directly to Cork Penny Dinners before Christmas. As always, we thank you for
your generosity and kindness with this appeal.

St Colman’s Cathedral Carillon Seasonal Bells

The recital of “Carolling on the Carillon” will as always take place at St Colman’s Ca-
thedral on Christmas Eve from 4.30 to 5.30 when, as in the past few years, Adrian
Gebruers (Cathedral Carillonneur) will be joined by his two youngest students,
    granddaughters Amy and Ella.

Then, on New Year’s Eve, Adrian will ring in 2020 beginning at 11.50 and concluding
at midnight with the playing of “Auld Lang Syne”. These recitals continue a tradi-
tion begun by Staf Gebruers ninety-five years ago.
