*** Read the following passage , then answer the questions below - :
Buses have a number and name of their destination on the front .
Numbers like 6 or 27 are pronounced in the normal way but 143 for example
is one four three .
When you pay your money you get a ticket , you must keep this because
an inspector might want to see it . Try to give the conductor the exact fare .
You tell the conductor or the driver where you want to go and tells you how
much it costs . If you already know how much it costs you can just ask for a
ticket of that price . In some towns , tickets are more expensive at rush hour .
The extra price is called a surcharge .
There is also a network of coach services between large towns . Coach
journeys are often cheaper than going by rail , but may take longer . The
national coach service has offices at the bus station in most towns , where you
can get information .
