Military Assessment Sponsorship
As you know, we are proceeding toward a proposal to the Membership for a renovation of the golf
course and repair/construction of some other capital needs. We anticipate presenting the proposal for
a vote by the members at the Annual Meeting of the Club to be held on February 22, 2022. Please mark
your calendars and make every effort to attend.
As a part of that proposal, to finance a portion of the project, each membership class will be asked to
pay an assessed amount in 2022. The Club has for a number of years felt it was very important to
support our men and women in uniform who serve selflessly at Moody Air Force Base. They and the
Base are integral parts of our community. To do so, the club has provided a non-equity membership
class for active-duty military and their families. As of this communication we have ___ such members.
Many of the members in this category are here for 4 years or less and many times spend portions of that
time deployed elsewhere as part of their service.
While we believe that all members should participate in the financing of the renovation plan, we
received a suggestion that we offer the opportunity to non-military members to pay, in addition to the
assessment levied on their membership class, the assessment levied on one or more of our active-duty
military members. The assessment for our military members has been set at $1500. If you are
interested in supporting our valued military members in this way, please reach out to our General
Manager, Cary Brown, and we will make sure you are connected in this fashion. Thank you for your
consideration of this great opportunity to support our club and our club members who serve our
country.
Thank you,
