Example #2: TPop: Instructional technology students
Objective: Given any objective, be able to prepare a skill
check item to match that objective. Criteria: Each item
calls for (a) the performance stated in the objective, under
(b) the conditions described by the objective.
Relevant Practice Description: Students will be given
objectives and asked to write test items. Feedback: model
of correct or acceptable items; checklist of key features.
Delivery System: Sample objectives, checklist, and in-
struction presented in print.
Example #3: TPop: Sales trainees
Objective: Given product information and the product,
be able to describe all key features and benefits to a cus-
tomer. Criteria: All information presented is factually
correct, and customer is not insulted or humiliated.
Relevant Practice Description: In private, another stu-
dent will role-play a customer and the trainee will use
product information and the product itself to practice
describing features and benefits. The session will be
videotaped. Feedback: Student and instructor will view
tape while applying a checklist of criteria.
Delivery System: A student to role-play a customer;
videotaping and playback equipment; product informa-
tion in print; the product itself; instructor to provide
information and feedback.
