Once upon a time in the land of Upsyde Downs, the Keeper
of the Wisdom said to the next in line, “Doodly, you are soon
to become of age, so it is time for you to enter the world and
learn to Trip the Light Fantastic. It is time for you to become
the best that you can.”
So Doodly hurried off with his heart in his hand and a
spring in his step, for he was truly eager to become all that he
could.
When he finally arrived at what he believed to be the
Greatest Learnatorium in all of Upsyde Downs, he was ushered
to an audience with the Keeper of the Knowing.
“You have truly come to the right place,”intoned the Keeper.
“We have all of the Knowing there is to Know. So if you will
learn what you are told, you will surely become all that you
can.”
Doodly was mightily impressed. He was sure he had found
the Right Place. After all, didn’t they have Starbright Projectors
and Redeye Comblabulators with shimmering screens? Of
course they did! Weren’t the instructors the greatest stars of the
Light Fantastic? Of course, they were! So, convinced of the
soundness of his choice, Doodly applied himself in earnest. He
listened keenly and wrote down what he heard. He put a mark
beside all the right answers and wrote the most masterly
