Delamotte
Delamotte was founded in Reims
in 1760, now the fifth oldest house
in Champagne. In 1927, Marie-
Louise made the decision to
transfer to Mesnil-sur-Oger, then
in 1988, the House of Delamotte
joined forces with the still
enigmatic Champagne Salon.
Chardonnay grapes from Grand
Cru Le Mesnil-sur-Oger a small
quantity of grapes from Grand
Crus Avize, Oger, and Cramant
also being used to balance the

one single grape variety,
Chardonnay; and from one single
vintage, with no blending
whatsoever.
This champagne comes from a 2
1/2 acre vineyard owned by Salon
named “Le Jardin de Salon,” or
“Salon’s Garden,” and from 19
smaller parcels representing 22.5
acres of vineyards in Le Mesnil-
sur-Oger, all chosen by founder
Eugène-Aimé Salon.
