MAIPO VALLEY
Despite being Chile’s most famous Chilean wine region, The Maipo Valley is nowhere near its
largest. The Valley’s fame is often attributed to its proximity to Santiago, but Maipo’s world-class
Cabernet is the real draw. Cabernet Sauvignon is Chile’s most important varietal by far, and
accounts for more than third of all vines planted.
