Science photography competition aims to take photography to the next level by incorporating science around us

with photography. We observe many scientific phenomena around us. Encouraging youngsters to explore science

from what they capture...from the sun-rays to the rainbow, from a bubble to the rain drops, from smoke to light.

Rules

• Each participant has to submit two entries.

• Two photographs (Primary image/Raw image and a supporting image) that demonstrates,

communicates or explains a scientific, technological or engineering concept or phenomenon are

eligible.

• The contestant should attach a brief description of the concept or phenomenon associated with

each of his/her photograph.

• Entries will be disqualified if photographs are digitally or otherwise enhanced or altered or

manipulated or if they violate another person’s rights or are copyright or are immoral.

• Photos must be the sole work of the contestant with a timestamp.

• The files are to be submitted in JPEG/ JPG with both pictures and the write-up.

• School Code, provided after registration to the school to be on the JPEG, JPG name.

• Presentation of photographs through Zoom will be on Friday, October 8, 2021 at 9.30 am.

Evaluation Criteria

Innovative ideas/concepts 10 marks

Presentation of the theme 10 marks

(write up)

Visual Appeal 10 marks

Interaction with judges 10 marks
