야곱의 사닥다리
사닥다리는 서로가 다른 길을 향해 가고 있지만 결국은 서로 비슷한 정상에 도달한다는 것과,
선으로 묘사된 가로장은 삶의 한 단계를 의미함으로써 희망을 성취해 가는 다양한 삶의 모습
을 통해 상상 되어지는 희로애락과 함께 서로를 품어주는 공존의 모습을 우주적 카테고리로
서 표현하였고 가장 근원적인 삶의 토대인 행성 즉 표면을 사닥다리의 주춧돌로 연결하여 안
정되고 희망적인 삶의 여정을 조화롭게 승화시켜 연출하였다.

Jacob’s Ladder
I tried to make the ladders, which represent all these aspects, create a whole, sharing in
harmony with each other, so that the intended mood, feeling, ideas and mental images are
elicited in the viewer’s mind from viewing the painting, and a simple and illusory effect is
created by acetate, as the connection between human desire and the journey to attain it.
