권숙자 안젤리미술관
권숙자 안젤리(Angeli) 미술관은 천사들이라는 의미를 지닌 문화체육관광부 산하의 사립미술관으로 한국 미술 및 경기지역 문화발전에
기여하고자 2015년에 개관하였다. 미(美)와 선(善)과 인간다움을 지향하는 본관은 전시·교육·창조·도전·힐링의 공간으로 문화예술에 대한
이해와 지평을 넓히는 장소로 다양한 예술콘텐츠 개발에 노력하고 있다. 문화예술이 국가경쟁력의 주요 자원이 되고 있는 현대사회 속에서
많은 예술인들과 대중이 삶의 질적 가치를 공유하는 예술 공간으로 성장하는 것을 목표로 하고 있다.
A private art museum located in Yongin City, Kwon Sook Ja Angeli Art Museum which means ‘angels’ opened in 2015 to contribute
to the development of Korean art and cultural development of Gyeonggi Province. Our museum, which pursues beauty, virtue, and
humanness, strives to develop versatile art contents as exhibition space, educational space, creative space, defiant space and peaceful
spaces for widening the horizon and understanding of cultural art. In modern society in which cultural art is a main resource of national
competitiveness, our goal is the growth as an art space in which the public and many artists share the qualitative worth of life.

권숙자 안젤리미술관의 태동

미술관 자체를 ‘설치미술’이라 여기며, 예술가들의 예술혼과 창조적 사고를 교환하는 ‘예술의 명소’로 발전하고픈 염원을 담아 축대를 쌓아
올렸다. 외관은 현대건축 양식에 걸맞는 미니멀리즘을 추구하며 미술관으로서의 독특한 개성을 드러내는 다양한 재료와 혁신적 기법으로
구성되었다. 본관은 예술가가 지닌 애환의 스토리 텔링을 담고 있는 미술관이기도 하다. 다양한 전시와 행사들로 일반 시민들의 「미술의
생활화」의 터전으로 지역적 문화 수준 상승효과를 끌어올리는 역할을 수행하고 있다. 어린이들에게는 예술의 씨앗을 뿌려 가꾸고 청년들과
성인, 원로작가에 이르기까지 예술혼을 표현하고 발표하는 생명력 있는 예술공간으로 성장해 가고 있다. 2019년·2020년 용인 지역문화
발전 유공표창·2022년 대한민국 사회공헌대상·2023년 코리아패럴드 대한민국 문화경영 대상(미술관부문) 수상했다.
Thinking of the art museum itself as an ‘installation art’, we built up the embankment with the hope of developing an ‘art landmark’ in which
artists exchange artistic souls and creative thinking. Diverse materials and innovative techniques were incorporated to show the unique
characteristic of the art museum and the exterior is in accord with modern architecture of minimalism. Also, Angeli Art Museum carries
the story telling of artists’ hardships. With various exhibitions and events, the museum is fulfilling its role of elevating the local area cultural
standard as a place for introducing ‘Art in everyday life’ to ordinary citizens. We are growing as a vital art space for planting the seed of art in
children as well as where young people, adults and elder artists can express and present their artful souls.
