국제현대미술관
국제현대미술관은 2000년도 개관, 영월읍 삼옥리 아름다운 동강 변에 자리 잡고 있습니다. 도, 농간 문화격차 해소와 영월의 국제화, 세계
화를 위하여 개관한 다양한 예술 작품을 감상할 수 있는 복합 문화 공간입니다.

야외조각공원에는 17개국 대형조각 100여 점이 고즈넉한 풍경과 함께 설치되어 있으며, 실내 전시실에는 70여 개국 소장품 조각, 회화,
사진, 설치, 영상물 등 4000여 점이 상설 교환 전시되어 갈 때마다 새로운 느낌을 줍니다.

또한 테마를 가진 기획전과 3~10월 국, 내외 저명한 조형예술가들을 초대 「동강 New Art Valley Project - 레지던스 프로그램」 국제현대문
화예술축제를 개최하여, 오픈 작업실을 통해 작품이 탄생하기까지의 과정을 한눈에 볼 수 있으며, 야외작업 공간을 활용한 예술가와 대중과
의 만남의 장도 마련하고 있습니다.

The International Museum of Contemporary Art was established in 2000 and is located along the beautiful Donggang River in Samok-ri,
Yeongwol-eup. It is a complex cultural space opened to help bridge the cultural gap between urban and rural areas, as well as to promote
the internationalization and globalization of Yeongwol. Visitors can enjoy a wide variety of artistic works on display.

The outdoor sculpture park features over 100 large-scale sculptures from 17 countries, set amidst tranquil scenery. Inside, the indoor
exhibition halls showcase over 4,000 pieces including sculptures, paintings, photographs, installations, and videos from 70 different
countries, with new works exchanged regularly, providing a fresh experience each time.

Additionally, the museum hosts themed special exhibitions and the “Donggang New Art Valley Project – Residency Program,” inviting
renowned domestic and international sculptors from March to October to participate in the International Contemporary Culture and Arts
Festival. Visitors can observe the creative process through open studios, and the outdoor workspace also serves as a venue for artist-public
interactions.
