CHRISTMAS in NOVEMBER: Fly back to 60’s [ART
APPRECIATION FOR EVERYONE]
An annual culminating event for Art Appreciation class was held last Logo of BS Psychology’s Art App
booth
November 7, 2019, at the college hallway of Southville. Different students from Marketing,
Financial management, Accounting and Psychology, under Ms. Thelma Badon’s class showcased
their talent in many aspects of the program and each section aimed to hold the title for Art
Appreciation competition champion for that year. For this year’s event theme: ‘Christmas in
November’, each section involved joined hands to be prepared for overall arrangements. A month
before the event, Ms. Badon had informed each class about the event along with the activities and
competitions.
The purpose of this activity was to raise funds for our countrymen living in Mindanao due
to the succeeding earthquakes during those months, and to celebrate Christmas in November since
the college break starts before December. Each class prepared a dance troop and singing group as
one of the highlights of the program. Moreover, the event’s highlights showcased the different
sweet, delightful and yuletide-themed mini Christmas trees made out of candies and sweets.
Students prepared such worth buying enticing Christmas trees not just for décor but also good for
the tummy. The event started early as each class begun to prepare each booth which brought lights,
colors and sweet fragrance to college hallways, along with some free foods aligned with their
themes. Every Christmas booth and Christmas tree product curved smiles and enticed all
passersby, who were Southville
employees and students. The
students also showcased their
marketing talents just to sell all
their class Christmas trees and
gain big funds.
