            ABOUT:
Folks! Do you see a 5’3’’ female with fancy glasses and frizzy hair,
Doing her usual affair with a mic in her right hand, and no time to exhale?
In and around the cultural events you will find her, talking rapidly without an error.
With a booming voice to calm the noise, as she begins the event with a face full of smiles!

And if you do, that’s Neha Menon for you. Having known Neha for three years, first as a roommate,
eventually as best friends, and now also as a fellow member of the Student Council as the Cultural
Secretary, I can say that I have learnt numerous things from her. How amazing is it to have your best
friend alongside you in the Council? Although I was not a part of the committee in the previous two
years, having Neha along kept me updated on the extra-curricular of the college. Seeing her anchor
almost all the events conducted by the Cultural Committee, I must say that, she’s arguably one of the
best memebers of the Cultural Committee, ever. Her interest lies in organizing and managing events,
and she strives to do justice to every event that she is in charge of. Being a constant reminder and
source of motivation not only to me, but also to every other students of the college, Neha has
truckloads of encouragement and enthusiasm for all those who are in need of it. Well, she does seem a
little intimidating to those who do not know her, but she is a sweet-tempered person. As a committee
member so active and deserving, Neha has earned the position of being the Cultural Secretary of the
Student Council. And now again, I must say that she has been one of the two best Cultural
Secretaries the entire college could have asked for.
                                                                                        -Shanice Ria Noronha

            EXPERIENCE:
For someone who can’t sing or dance to save her life, I’ve always loved to be involved in cultural
events. I learned way back in school that working backstage and conducting programmes gave me a
lot of joy. So the first two years of my college life was filled with a lot of fun, thanks to the committee.
I was looking forward to my third year when I could try to be the Cultural Secretary. When the results
were announced, I was torn between being happy that me and my friends made it onto the Council
and being unhappy that we wouldn’t be able to conduct Pulse, Parrlon or Utsav.
Being technologically handicapped, I did rely a lot on Chirag for the majority of this tenure. Managing
clubs and getting things done online slowly helped me adapt and made me realize that it was
important to keep them active and boost the morale of students and encourage them to get out of their
slumps during the pandemic. This online year, attending college from our rooms might have taken
most of the fun out of being on the council, but I can definitely say our bonds have become stronger
and for that, I am glad.
