เคร่ืองรําชกกุธภัณฑ์
เครอ่ื งราชกกธุ ภณั ฑ์ ตามรปู ศพั ทแ์ ปลวา่ เครอื่ งใชส้ า หรบั พระมหากษตั รยิ ์ ที่มีความสาคัญยิ่ง เพราะเป็นเครื่องหมายแห่งความเป็นพระราชาธิบดี จึงเป็น ส่ิงที่จะต้องนาข้ึนทูลเกล้า ฯ ถวายในพระราชพิธีบรมราชาภิเษก การถวาย เครอื่ งราชกกธุ ภณั ฑใ์ นพระราชพธิ บี รมราชาภเิ ษกเปน็ ประเพณสี บื เนอื่ งตอ่ กนั มา โดยมีพระมหาราชครูเป็นผู้กล่าวคาถวาย เครื่องราชกกุธภัณฑ์มีอยู่ด้วยกัน หลายรายการ อาทิ พระมหาเศวตฉัตรหรือพระนพปฎลมหาเศวตฉัตร พระมหาพชิ ยั มงกฎุ พระแสงขรรคช์ ยั ศรีธารพระกรวาลวชิ นีฉลองพระบาท เชิงงอน เป็นต้น เครื่องราชกกุธภัณฑ์ท่ีสาคัญที่สุด ๕ รายการเรียกว่า “เคร่ืองเบญจราชกกุธภัณฑ์” แต่ละองค์มีความหมายดังนี้

เครื่องเบญจราชกกุธภัณฑ์ The Five Royal Regalia
• พระมหาพิชัยมงกุฎ มีน้าหนัก ๗.๓ กิโลกรัม เป็นสัญลักษณ์ว่า ทรงรับพระราชภาระอันย่ิงใหญ่ในการปกครองอาณาประชาราษฎร์
• พระแสงขรรค์ชัยศรี อาวุธเหล็กกล้าสองคมเสมือนพระราชปัญญาแห่งพระมหากษัตริย์ สัญลักษณ์แทนพระผู้สร้างอันมีพระราชอานาจ
นาพาประชาไปสู่ความรุ่งเรืองผาสุก
• ธารพระกร สัญลักษณ์แห่งทศพิธราชธรรม อันเป็นเครื่องมือให้กษัตริย์นาพาราชอาณาจักรและราษฎรไปสู่ความสุข ความเจริญ • วาลวิชนี สัญลักษณ์แห่งการบันดาลความอยู่เย็นเป็นสุข และปัดเป่าผองภัย
• ฉลองพระบาทเชิงงอน สัญลักษณ์ว่าทรงมอบอานาจการปกครองที่จะนาความสงบสุขแก่ผู้สมควรต่อไป
The Royal Regalia
The Royal Regalia refers to the King’s royal utensils and is considered the most signi cant symbol of the Kingship and it is essential that it be offered to the King in the Royal Coronation Ceremony. The presentation of the Royal Regalia to the King is a traditional practice in which the Chief Brahmin is the person who offers the Royal Regalia to the King. The Royal Regalia includes the Royal Nine-tiered Umbrella of State or the Nophapadon Maha Saweta Chatra, the Great Crown of Victory or Phra Maha Phichai Mongkut, the Sword of Victory or Phra Saeng Khan Chai Sri, the Royal Scepter or Than Phra Kon, the Royal Fan and Fly Whisk or Walawichani and the Royal Slippers or Chalong Phrabat Choeng Ngon. These ve items are considered the most important Royal Regalia and signify the following meanings.
• Phra Maha Phichai Mongkut The crown weighs 7.3 kilograms and symbolises the great burden bearing down on the person of His Majesty for the sake of his people’s happiness.
• Phra Saeng Khan Chai Sri This double-bladed sword is made of steel, symbolising the great wisdom of the King and his power to bring forth the peace and happiness to his people.
• Than Phra Kon The Royal Scepter signi es the Ten Virtues of the King which contributes to the prosperity and happiness of his people.
• Walawichani This Royal Fan is the symbol of peacefulness and His Majesty’s responsibility to protect the Kingdom from all harm threatening it.
• Chalong Phrabat Choeng Ngon The Royal Slippers symbolises the King’s will to transfer of his ruling power to a righteous successor.
