the Bank of America building on G Street was painted by Laurie Schoelen, a local art- ist from Squaw Val- ley who previously painted electric boxes within Reedley during the last several years.
The project was a joint effort by the city and the chamber to paint a Reedley- themed portrait of the area.
Officials made re- visions to the design to put in additional references to the re- gion’s reputation for growing fruit.
Across the street and a few doors down from Emma's artwork were Ronni Conway and Nick Dobbins. Also local artists who participated in arthop.
"It's always been something that I've been trying to fine tune," said Dobbins of his paintings. "I've been doing pottery, photography all that through high school."
The event kicked off at the Bank of America wall where the Schoelen mural is now displayed. City Manger, Nicole Zieba said during the open- ing ceremony that this was a way for the city to celebrate the unique culture and rich history Reedley has to offer.
