Krystale Gutierrez, Im- manuel High Eagles girls bas- ketball senior, closed out her senior year by being selected the Central Sequoia League Most Valuable Player.
Gutierrez was honored by the leagues' coaches for
helping lead the Eagles to a Central Section Division III Championship.
Gutierrez also was a All- CSL First Team selection in 2016.
For this season, Ava Gal- pin earned All-CSL First Team honors, while sophomore

The 47th Annual Reedley Reedley Rotary/Kings Can- yon Unified School District Track Meet on March 15 drew hundreds of young ath- letes to Reedley High School to compete in a variety of events.
The students were grouped into three catego- ries, based on their age:
Bantam (8-10), Midget (11-12), and Junior (13-14).
The winners in the events for each age group were:

Eight members of the Reedley High Pirates boys soccer team were named to All-North Yosemite League teams this season.

Krystale Gutierrez, Immanuel High Eagles senior (middle), was named the Central Sequoia League Most Valuable Player for the 2017-18 season. Gutierrez led the Eagles averaging 17 points and 10 rebounds per game. The Eagles won the Central Section Division III Championship this season.

Staff Report
After capturing the CIF Central Section Division III Championship, the Reedley High Pirates boys soccer team had eight players named to All-North Yosemite League teams.
Alexis Rodriguez, Emman- uel Ibarra and Jorge Osorio each were named to the All- NYL First Team.
Alfonso Jimenez, Juan Ibarra, Issaac Cardenas and
Marco Leyva earned All-NYL Second Team honors.
Robert Alcantar was an Honorable Mention.
The Pirates season ended with 4-3 loss to So- tomayor High on March 6 in the first round of the Southern California Regional playoffs.

RC softball continues success
Staff Report
After losing their first two Central Valley Conference games, the Reedley College Tigers softball team is on a five-game winning streak.
As of March 20, the Tigers were 5-2 in the CVC.
The Tigers swept a dou- bleheader over Porterville College on March 13 and then beat Cerro Coso College on March 15 and West Hills- Coalinga on March 16.
On March 13, the Tigers defeated Porterville College in the first game 5-0 and 17-3 in the second game.
Emily Grimbleby earned the win on the mound in the first game.
Grimbleby allowed no runs and had seven strikeouts. Julia Jimenez hit a home run and had two RBIs. Hunter Young, Sienna Esquivel and Lauren Costa each had one
RBI.

The Tigers defeated Cerro CosoCollege13-5 onMarch 15 at Reedley College.
The Tigers have won five gamesinarowandasof March 20, and were 5-2 in the Central Valley Conference.
Reedley College will play Fresno City College on Thursday, March 22, at Reedley College.
