March earns All-American
RIGHT: Nate Kendricks, Immanuel High Eagles senior, was named Central Sequoia League Offensive Player of the Year.
Kendricks led the CSL averaging 28.8 points per game.
He set the school record for most points in a season with 921 points.
Kendricks helped lead the Eagles to a fifth straight Central Section Chmapionship in 2018.

Aalyiah Seuell earned All- CSL Second Team honors.
“Krystale winning MVP and Ava making first team was a no-brainer. I think Aa- liyah could've easily made First Team,” said Phillip Todd, Immanuel High head coach. “I am proud of the achievements and recogni- tion they've received. All three were excellent repre- sentatives of Immanuel.”
It is the third time Galpin has been named to the All- CSL First Team.
Gutierrez started 33 games for Immanuel and led the team in scoring averag- ing 17.5 points per game.
She also averaged 10.7 rebounds, five assist and three steals per game.
Gutierrez had 16 double- doubles this season and two triple-doubles.
Gutierrez scored over 20
honors for Azusa Pacific
points in 12 games this sea- son, 30 points twice and had a career game on Dec. 28 against Firebaugh High.
In that game, Gutierrez scored 46 points, had 15 re- bounds and 10 steals.
Galpin played in 27 games for the Eagles aver- aging 16 points, 12 rebounds and two blocks per game.
Seuell played 33 games and scored 13 points per game.
The Eagles ended the season with a 24-10.
IHS Boys Basketball
After winning the CIF Central Section Division III Championship, the Immanuel High Eagles boys basketball team had six players named to All-CSL teams.
Nate Kendricks was named the Central Sequoia League Offensive Player of the Year.
Kaleb Daglish earned All-CSL First Team honors,
while Jordan Rodriguez was named to the All-CSL Second Team.
Shawn Rodgers, Mitch Nydam and Gavin Lloyd each were Honorable Men- tions.
Kendricks led the CSL averaging 28.8 points per game. He set the school re- cord for most points in a sea- son with 921 points.
Daglish played in 17 games for the Eagles, af- ter sitting out the first part of the season because of transfer rules, and scored 14 points per game. He also averaged eight rebounds per game.
Rodriguez averaged nine points and five rebounds per game.

Zoe March, former Immanuel High basketball star and current Azusa Pacific University sopho- more, earned Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) NCAA Division II All-America honorable mention honors. March led the nation in assist-to-turnover ratio (3.40-to-1). March's 143 assists were first on Azusa Pacific and ranked 31st overall in the nation.

Slater to transfer from Tulane

Colin Slater, former Immanuel High basketball standout, verfied on Twitter that he will transfer from Tulane University. Slater a 2016 graduate of Immanuel High, played at Tulane for the past two seasons. His recruitment has now reopened. Look for more information on his status in a future edition of The Exponent.

As of March 20, the Tigers were 13-9 overall and 4-2 in the CVC.
On March 17, Alec Akins picked up the win on the mound pitching eight innings, allowing two runs and striking out four batters.
Sid Lacy secured the save.
Cooper Morrison hit a home run and had three RBIs. Ty Bamford had one RBI.
The Tigers played Cerro Coso College on March 20. No score was available at presstime.
They continue play against Cerro Coso on Friday and Satur- day, March 23 and 24.
David Hernandez, a Grant Middle School athlete, won the high jump event at the Rotary Track and Field meet on March 15 at Sal Gonzalez Field at Reedley High School.

Emma Mulligan, Reed- ley High Pirates girls soccer player, earned her second straight North Yosemite League Player of the Year award.
Mulligan helped lead the Pirates to a second straight NYL Championship and a semifinals appearance in the Division III playoffs.
KaylaRocha,MikoSunamoto and Kiki Sunamoto each were se- lected to the All-NYL First Team.

TIGERS

In the second game against Porterville College, Jimenez hit her second home run of the day and had four RBIs. Sandra Vallejo had three RBIs, while Mickayla Villarreal, Costa and Madison Shubin each had two.
On March 15, the Tigers beat Cerro Coso College 13-5 at Reedley College.

On March 16, Reedley Col- lege defeated West Hills-Coal- inga 7-0 at Reedley College.
Grimbleby was the win- ning pitcher. She threw a
complete game and had 15 strikeouts.
The Tigers played a dou- bleheader against Merced Col- lege on March 20 at Reedley College. No scores were avail- able at presstime.
Reedley College plays Fresno City College on Thursday, March 22, at Reed- ley College.
They will compete in the Ventura College Tourna- ment on Saturday, March 24, before playing a doubleheader against West Hills-Coalinga on Tuesday, March 27, in Coalinga.
